Program description
The STIPP (SME Transition Innovation Partner Projects) initiative supports cross-border innovation among SMEs in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion (NL–BE–DE). Through co-funded R&D collaborations, STIPP enables companies to tackle major challenges in industrial transition, green transformation, and healthier citizens.
For the Einstein Telescope (ET), STIPP focuses on technologies and infrastructure that strengthen the region’s role in this world-leading scientific project — from advanced cryogenics and optical systems to sustainable construction and logistics.
Opportunities for Companies
- Receive 50% co-funding for cross-border R&D (up to €600,000 per project)
- Build international SME partnerships in NL, BE, and DE
- Accelerate innovation in instrumental, construction, or sustainability technologies for ET
- Access support for partner matchmaking, proposal development, and market entry
- Contribute to the Einstein Telescope’s development while strengthening regional competitiveness
